This is one of nine bus shelter models built for a design competition in San Francisco.  At this large scale, we were able to make the shelters with a fair amount of detail and realism, which always helps in a contest.  Each of the designs by Foster, Hydra, Stern, and IBA enabled CBS Outdoor to present several very well-thought-out alternatives.  We chose to show this particular model by IBA because it looks as though we ‘dropped in’ the background.  In fact, we were driving down Market Street when we spontaneously pulled over to a bus stop, got the right perspective, snapped the shot, and avoided a parking ticket!
